Biography

I studied at University of Glasgow, graduating with a BSc and MBChB in 2010. Following foundation training at Glasgow, I moved to London to start specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.  Having attained MRCOG in 2016, I currently work both privately and in the NHS as a Consultant.

I started working at UCL in 2020 as an Associate Lecturer in Curriculum Mapping and have recently taken over as the Academic Lead.  In 2021, I also became the Associate Lecturer in the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Unit. My other roles at UCL include being Chair of the Gender Equality Taskforce in UCLMS EDI Committee and in this role, I have been leading the Strategic response to Tackling Misogyny and Gender Based Violence at the Medical School.

I am also a member of the Workforce Planning group at the RCOG and completed my Masters in Clinical Education (MA) on Attrition in Senior Obstetric and Gynaecology trainees at Kings College London in 2021.

Research Summary

My Research Portfolio spans across the clinical and academic domain.

My published works involve research in Endometriosis, Menopause, Curriculum Maps and Attrition in Senior Obstetric and Gynaecology Trainees.

Presently, I am involved in a study on using Virtual Mock OSCEs as an aid for student learning.

Teaching Summary

As a Specialty trainee I was involved in leading the education programme at my Trust for postgraduate doctors.

At UCL, I have been involved in designing several sessions for remote learning on Digital Professionalism and MDT. I have also led several synchronous sessions for Year 5 students on their Obstetric and Gynaecology blocks, including facilitating the Team-Based Sessions (TBL).
