The broader context that drives Rikke's research is the impact of digital technologies on organizations, cities, consumers and citizens. She is interested in multiple aspects of the digital transitioning, including the effect of wearable technology on decision-making, how technology can create connected cities, and how the digitally native generation will make use of and respond to technology in the future.
She frequently presents her research at national and international conferences and is published in The European Business Review, Frontiers in Psychology, Journal of Marketing Education and Advances in Consumer Research.
Rikke has also presented her work at the World Economic Forum and debated future human resilience at the European Forum Alpbach.
Rikke Duus is a Research Associate and Senior Teaching Fellow at the UCL School of Management. In her PhD she explored human-tech hybrid relationships. She also holds an MSc in Practice-based Research, an MSc in Strategic Marketing and a BA (Hons) in English and International Communication. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Her research and teaching activities are in the area of digitization and its impact on business, consumers and societies. She has been published in leading media outlets, including CNN, World Economic Forum, Discover, The Independent, Chartered Management Institute, The SydneyMorning Herald, WeekendAvisen, Politiken, amongst other. Dr Duus has also been interviewed by The New York Times and CBS radio.
At UCL, Dr Duus delivers cutting-edge education in the areas of consumer behavior, digital marketing, and the digital transformation of organizations and societies.
