Renato Venturelli works as a Research Assistant for the
Dental Public Health Research group since April 2017. He graduated as a
dentist from the University of Concepcion, Chile in 2011. After working
clinically for some years he developed an interest in the social
determinants of health and in research. Due to this, he decided to undertake a
Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health and Healthcare Network and also a Postgraduate
Certificate in Ethics in Biomedical Research. In 2014 he was awarded a prestigious Chilean scholarship to come to the UK to study and decided to enrol in the MSc degree
in Dental Public Health at UCL. Since working as a research assistant,
Renato has been involved in a variety of tasks, including conducting scoping
reviews, submitting scientific papers for publication, supporting application
processes for research funding opportunities as well as offering teaching and administrative
support to the MSc in Dental Public Health.
