Research Summary

Ruth’s PhD (School of Healthcare, University of Leeds) explored how young people assume responsibility from their parents for self-management of their chronic kidney disease. With a background in occupational therapy, and clinical experience working in both children’s and adult’s community services, Ruth has an underlying interest in how people participate in everyday activities. Before joining UCL, Ruth worked on a range of studies in child health and education primarily using qualitative methods, and in Patient and Public Involvement in research.
