I am a postdoctoral Research Associate in Auditory Neuroscience working in the laboratory of Professor Jennifer Bizley at the Ear Institute at UCL. I have a Bachelor of Science degree with first class Honours from the University of Auckland in Auckland, New Zealand. I completed my PhD at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health at the University of Melbourne, Australia.
The overarching aim of my postdoctoral research is to understand how visual information is integrated into auditory processing, and the impacts of audio-visual integration on listening.
I am investigating how auditory and visual cortices interact at the neural level to link crossmodal information; specifically, how silencing visual cortex impacts audiovisual processing in auditory cortex, how visual information can shape auditory scene analysis, and the influence of attention on multisensory processing. My research encompasses behavioural work in animals, neurophysiological recordings, perturbation of neural activity and computational methods.
