Research Summary

I am a clinical neurologist and translational researcher who is committed to understanding disease mechanisms in neurodegeneration, specifically how protein dynamics contribute to the development of pathological inclusions.

I lead the stable isotope labeling kinetics (SILK) programme at UCL in collaboration with the Bateman lab at Washington University, which permits in vivo measurement of protein turnover.

My clinical interests include Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementia, dementia with Lewy bodies, and other young onset, rapidly progressive, atypical and familial dementias.

I co-direct the Neurofilament Light Consortium
