Consultant Gynaecologist specializing in Urogynaecology and Uro-neurology at University College Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London in 2004.
Educational Affiliation
Training Programme Director for Urogynaecology and Uro-neurology at University College London and examines postgraduate students in Urogynaecology throughout the United Kingdom on behalf of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She is also a well-known national and international speaker in these fields, as well as on Global Maternal Health.

Chairmanships
-Invited Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Women's Health Research and Development (FORWARD), 2010-2019. In 2015, FORWARD was awarded the ‘Healthcare and Medical Research’ award at The Charity Awards in London.
-Past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Fistula Foundation since 2015. This is the leading global non-profit organization working on obstetric fistula. In 2015 it has been chosen as the ‘Top Rated Non-Profit’ by Charity Navigator.
Memberships
-Elected member of the G4 Alliance Board of Directors, 2017-2019, and founding member of the G4 Alliance. This is the first organization to bring together members from the surgical, obstetric, anaesthesia and trauma fields to tackle the lack of surgical care globally by engaging with the World Health Organization, the United Nation agencies, resourced and under-resourced governments and multiple non-governmental agencies.
-Invited member of Board of Trustees of Medical Aid Films since 2012. This charity works primarily using the mode of film for training, raising awareness and educative purposes.

•1992-2016: Providing fistula support services and training in Africa
•2016 to date: Providing guidance to the World Health Organization on fistula services and care delivery
Developing the UK Strategy for Management of Prolapse and Continence Mesh Complications
•2007-2020: Member of NICE IPAC Committee, MHRA, NHS England developing guidance on mesh complications in women based on UCLH clinical research outcomes
•2021 to Date: Chair of NHSE Research and Education Group on Mesh
Advancing the Integration of Pain Medicine in Urogynaecology in the UK, Europe, and the USA
•Developed the field of complex multi-disciplinary pain medicine in UCLH and NHNN since 2006
Advancing the Integration of Neuromodulation in Urogynaecology in the UK, Europe, and the USA
•Working with the International Neuromodulation Society, Medtronic, Axonics and Bluewind Medical in device innovation and implantation.
