Dr Stephen Potts is a Lecturer (Teaching) in Chemistry with a particular focus on e-learning. He is also the Year 1 Lead, Careers Liaison Tutor and Connected Learning Lead. He has worked at UCL since 2016. Before this he was a Lecturer in Inorganic Chemistry (Teaching & Scholarship) at Queen Mary University of London (2013–2016), prior to which he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands.
My research is concerned with pedagogy and its evaluation, which involves designing or updating teaching methods, such as assessment, and critically evaluating the outcomes of that design or update. With my focus on e-learning, I facilitate the introduction of e-learning platforms within the department and evaluate their effectiveness in enhancing the student experience and engagement with the subject.
