Research Summary
I am a dementia researcher with a background is in Speech and Language Therapy (SLT), specialising in adults with neurogenic communication disorders. I was senior lecturer in SLT at Plymouth Marjon University for 14 years; with areas of expertise including motor speech disorders, psychology and evidence-based practice. My research experience includes using qualitative methods such as conversation analysis, to examine how adults with atypical communication and their interlocuters collaborate to manage everyday communication difficulties. I have experience in complex intervention development and realist methodology. I am currently Study Manager on the implementation phase of the PriDem project at UCL, developing and implementing primary care led post-diagnostic care in dementia.
