I have an MA from Goldsmiths in Anthropology & Cultural Politics.
I first joined the EPPI-Centre in 2014 working on systematic reviews for the NICE Collaborating Centre for Social Care. I worked as a researcher and systematic reviewer on the following NICE guidelines:
Transition between inpatient hospital settings and community or care home settings for adults with social care needs;Transition between inpatient mental health settings and community or care home settings; Care and support of older people with learning disabilities.
I currently work for the Department of Health and Social Care Reviews Facility to support national policy development and implementation. I have worked on a review of evidence of what helps to support people affected by Adverse Childhood Experiences and I am currently working on a systematic map of what is known about Adult Specialist Services for Victim-Survivors of sexual violence.
I am currently undertaking a NIHR ARC North Thames PhD exploring public health decision-makers' use of evidence. I am also a systematic reviewer working in mixed methods synthesis. My research interests are in evidence use, young people's mental health, sexual violence and transitions between community and residential care settings.
I am a seminar leader on the "Systematic Review Design & Planning" module and a personal tutor for students taking MSc Social Policy & Social Research.
