Biography
I am a University of Portsmouth BSc (Hons) Pharmacology graduate (2019) and UCL MRes Translational Neuroscience graduate (2020). I then worked at the UCL Centre for Advanced Biomedical Imaging (CABI) as a research assistant in Dr Ian Harrison's lab group on a Parkinson's UK funded project in the fields of glymphatics and neurodegenerative disease. I am now a PhD student (Neuroscience and Mental Health) on the UCL-Birkbeck MRC DTP, undertaking my rotation year.

If you have any questions or wish to know more about my work please feel free to email me or contact me on LinkedIn/twitter.

Research Summary
My undergraduate research project was conducted in Dr Anthony Lewis' lab at the University of Portsmouth with the project studying de novo KCNB1 mutations as an underlying cause of infantile epilepsy.

For my MRes, my project was hosted by CABI (UCL) in Dr Ian Harrison's lab group, investigating the involvement of the glymphatic system in the clearance of propagation-prone alpha-synuclein in a mouse model of Parkinson's disease.

My research assistant post was linked to a project funded by Parkinson's UK, and aimed to determine the pathological significance of aquaporin-4-facillitated glymphatic clearance in Parkinson's disease, using human brain tissue provided by the PUK brain bank.

Currently, I am a PhD student on the UCL-Birkbeck MRC DTP on the Neuroscience and Mental Health stream, in my rotation year.
