Research Summary

My first education was in History and History of Art and these both fields remain of great interests to me. Coming to the West, I changed my professional field, teaching and researching Russian language and literature. I published first monograph on Venedikt Erofeev, the celebrated author whose novel ‘Moskva-Petushki’ was forbidden in the USSR. I have written and published a number of articles on different topics of Russian literature and culture.

My current project is a monograph about the life and writing of one of the greatest post-war Russian writers Georgii Vladimov, winner of Russian Booker Prize of 1995.

I coordinate and enjoy teaching Russian MA courses at SSEES which is a very interesting linguistic experience and a stimulating intellectual occupation.
