Research Associate in the Population, Policy and Practice Programme, as part of the Child Policy Research Unit (CPRU) 'Health Care Provisions' theme, at UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health.

Sanjay was awarded his PhD from the University of Nottingham in July 2017, investigating 'The Risk of Knee Osteoarthritis in Retired Professional Footballers"

This was a field epidemiology cross-sectional study, which compared the prevalence and risk of knee osteoarthritis in retired professional footballers to that of the general population. This work has been published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine (BJSM) (doi.org/10.1136/bjsports-2017-097503). The second part of the study was a nested case control study to determine the individual risk factors of knee osteoarthritis within professional footballers, which is pending publication.
