Research Summary
I am a musician and an educator interested in supporting music students in higher music education (HME), focusing on autism and autistic traits (AT). I found it fascinating that autistic individuals appear to show superior pitch perception with an increased auditory perceptual capacity compared to non-autistic individuals. And I wonder if autism or autistic traits appear in highly skilled musicians.
My research seeks to understand the nature of autistic traits in musicians, particularly in HME and specialist music schools.
