I have a strong interest in teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level, and have extensive commitment to teaching both within the Trust and University, and beyond. In particular-Undergraduate· I am the lead for the SSC in Imaging for final year medical students at University college hospital (2005 to date). Since taking over this role, I have reorganised the timetable so students experiences a wide range of Clinical Radiology, and have introduced a structured tutorial program. I have also have introduced an evidence based research module and presentation as part of their assessment. The block has received positive feedback during student assessment.· I co-organise the imaging module for the MB Phd students at UCLH.Post graduate· I am the Radiological Academic lead for UCLH/UCL academic clinical fellows and academic clinical lecturer programme (D of H integrated academic pathway scheme). The scheme was awarded 3 ACF posts and 1 CL post from 2007. I supervise the academic teaching and training of these posts· I have instigated and now run the UK’s only CT colonography hands-on workshop. This biannual event is an intensive two days course mixing didactic lectures with hands on workstation training for small groups of UK radiologists (up to 20 delegates). The course has been running since 2004 and I have trained over 250 UK Radiologists· I co-instigated the UK first and only CT colonography course for radiographers (Feb 2006)· I sit on the ESGAR CTC workshop committee and co-organised a three-day hands on workshop in Edinburgh on their behalf (Jan 2006). I am co-organiser for the next course in Harrogate (2009). I am a regular presenter and hands on teacher at these twice yearly workshops. Each workshop attracts over 120 delegates per course from around Europe and the world· With Dr Dermot Malone (Dublin) I co-host Evidence-Based-Radiology workshops held at the annual meetings of both ESGAR and the Royal College of Radiologists (2004 to date). The 3 days course teaches “bottom up” evidence based techniques, particularly tailored to Clinical radiology · I have given over 40 invited lectures worldwide on many topics including CT colonography, imaging rectal cancer, perianal disease, inflammatory bowel disease.· I have contributed an online tutorial covering imaging of idiopathic IBD for the Radiologist Integrated training initiative. This extensive on line teaching resource is sued by all UK Radiologists as part of their training progam. · I provide regular tutorials for radiological and surgical registrar attached to UCLH and Northwick Parks hospitals· I provide regular FRCR examination teaching and lecture on the Royal college of Radiologist FRCR examination courseI regularly run workshops at the ESGAR annual meetings
