BIO
Sotiris Vandoros is Professor of Health Economics at University College London, and Director of the Executive MBA Health programme. He is also Adjunct Professor at Harvard University.
He was previously Associate Dean for Doctoral Studies and Associate Professor at King's College London, and holds a PhD from the LSE.
His research focuses on the impact of socioeconomic conditions, shocks and uncertainty on health and health-related behaviours, and on pricing, regulation and competition in pharmaceutical markets, studying topics such as the generics paradox, generic competition and therapeutic substitution. He also studies the determinants of car accidents.
He is co-Editor of Globalization & Health and serves on the Editorial Board of Health Policy.
Prof Vandoros has carried out research for national and international organisations and governments such as the World Health Organization, the NHS, the European Commission and the European Parliament.
He has taught at UCL, Harvard, King’s College London, LSE, Brunel, Sorbonne-Cité and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
