Biography
Dr. Varkouhi was born in 1973 in KhorramAbad, Iran, and his mother tongue is Persian (Farsi). Varkouhi obtained his B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Isfahan, Iran followed by two M.Sc. degrees in Sedimentary Petrography, one from the University of Tehran, Iran and another from the Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany, and a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Oxford in the UK. After his PhD, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oxford before joining the University College London in 2021.
