I am an Epidemiologist whose research fits under the umbrella of life course epidemiology. My research is predominantly based on utilising serial data collected from birth cohort studies, predominantly based in the UK.

My research to date has focussed on how patterns of growth across the life course impact upon future health. I also have interests in the construction of appropriate growth charts for use in different populations and have produced references for a variety of populations and outcomes.
My work has involved a range of statistical techniques, with an emphasis on longitudinal growth modelling and the production of reference charts. I also have an interest in causal inference methods and multiple imputation to handle missing data.
Most recently i have been working on a project investigating the relationship between patterns of BMI development across the life course and adult cardiometabolic health in the three nationally representative British birth cohorts.
