Biography
After my PhD and a couple of years as a postdoc here at UCL, I worked for 11 years at the Flour Milling and Baking Research Association, Chorleywood, initially as an applied statistician and later as part of the management team. I returned to the Department of Statistical Science at UCL in 1989.

Research Summary
Although I am interested in applied statistics in general, much of my research has focussed on the application of multivariate methods in chemistry, an area sometimes described as chemometrics, and especially in near infrared spectroscopy. I also have a general interest in Bayesian methodology.
