I am currently a tutor on the Secondary Art & Design PGCE. In this role, I teach across both of the academic modules ('Wider Education Studies: Issues and Inclusivity' and 'Subject Studies: Transitions and Translations') as well as supervising students as part of their Professional Practice module. Previously I have also contributed to and taught on MA modules within Art, Design and Museology (including 'Contemporary Art & Artists in Education' and 'Material & Virtual Cultures: Transforming the Museum and Gallery Experience') as well as providing Art & Design specialist training for Primary ITE programmes within the School Direct pathway. In addition to having completed a Secondary Art & Design PGCE myself and having taught in London secondary schools, my academic background is in art history, contemporary art theory and philosophy and I am particularly interested in orthodoxies surrounding processes of representation and picturing within the secondary art and design classroom.
