I am a Research Fellow at University College London. I received a PhD degree from Faculty of Science and Technology, Middlesex University London in 2018 on the topic of Biomedical Engineering, Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies. In 2011 I received a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and in 2012 a MSc degree (with distinction) in Biomedical Engineering from School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia. 

My research career begun by working as a researcher with Research and Innovation centre Tecnalia Serbia. After a year within industrial research environment, I strived to more academic achievements therefore came to the UK for a post graduate degree. During these studies, I worked as a Research Assistant at UCL on various projects. At Middlesex University I held a Hourly Payed Lecturer position where I design and delivered lectures and practical sessions on numerous undergraduate courses and programs. 

I am a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technologies ITE. I am registered expert with European Commission. 
Research Summary

Pioneering in topics related to application of engineering and technologies in medicine, my research interest include, but not limit biomedical engineering, rehabilitation and assistive technologies. The research themes I have experience with include: 

  • Electrical stimulation (design, application)
  • Vibration stimulation (design, application)
  • Robotic technologies for medicine (design, manufacturing, control, application)
  • Assistive technologies (design, manufacturing, control, application)
  • Rehabilitation technologies in research and translation to clinical practice 
  • Translational technologies (applications in medicine, smart and home environments)
  • Clinical trials (design, coordinating, managing)
