Biography

I obtained my Ph. D from the School of Slavonic and East European Studies in 2001 for a dissertation that examined high politics in Hungary in the early 1920s. I then taught a range of European history courses at the University of Cincinnati from 2003-2010. I then returned to the School as a teaching fellow in Central European history.

Research Summary

I am interested in the history of Central Europe, particularly Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, and am in the process of publishing a history of the Hungarian constitution, which I have co-edited with Professor Ferenc Hรถrcher, as well as my own study of the Slovak People's Party, forthcoming in 2019. I am also in the process of publishing a study of consociational politics in the Habsburg Monarchy and interwar Czechoslovakia which i co-wrote with Professor Daniel Miller and Professor Phillip Howe. I also serve as an editor, along with Dr Eszter Tarsoly, of one of the School's journals entitled Central Europe.
