I obtained my Ph. D from the School of Slavonic and East European Studies in 2002 for a dissertation that examined high politics in Hungary in the early 1920s. I began teaching at the School in 2010.

Research Summary

I am interested in the history of Central Europe, particularly Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, and have recently published a history of the Hungarian constitution, which I co-edited with Professor Ferenc Hรถrcher, as well as my own study of the Slovak People's Party. I am also in the process of publishing a study of consociational politics in the Habsburg Monarchy and interwar Czechoslovakia which i am co-wroting with Professor Daniel Miller and Professor Phillip Howe. I also serve as an editor of one of the School's journals entitled Central Europe.
