Research Summary
My PhD research focuses on the plurilingual oral expertise of adult refugees in London who are new to print literacy. I am interested in co-constructing insights regarding print literacy acquisition with adults who have grown up in oral societies. Based on participants’ perceptions of their learning strategies, my study aims to contribute to theoretical understanding relating to adults’ experiences of integrating print into their plurilingual oral knowledge systems.
