  • Faculty Learning Technology Lead for the UCL Institute of Education
  • IOE Digital Education Advisor for UCL Digital Education

We run and contribute to research projects as well as internal and external consultancies.

As a trained Audio Engineer with a previous 10-year career as music and event producer, as well as music and broadcast industry trainer, I have significant experience in media production and large-scale events.

Research Summary

My research interests currently focus on online and blended pedagogy, media production, and innovation adoption in the area of learning technology.

I am also researching other areas of applied e-learning, for example Virtual Learning Environments, MOOCs, e-portfolios, collaborative learning, and learning design, including work on the Learning Designer.

Based on my background in contemporary arts, music, and the performing arts, I am interested in the concept of dramaturgy in education, and how it can be used to improve learning designs as well as staff development in the area of learning technologies.
