Research Summary
I am a Principal Research Fellow in statistical methods and work on the development, evaluation and understanding of statistical methods for randomised trials, observational studies and IPD meta-analysis. I am based at the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL.

- Practical issues around missing data, particularly relating to multiple imputation
- Simulation studies in statistical research (tutorial paper)
- Covariate adjustment in randomised trials
- Estimands
- Sensitivity analysis
- Methods for meta-analysis with individual participant data
- The re-randomisation design for clinical trials
Some other roles:
- Co-chair of the MRC-NIHR Trials Methodology Research Partnership working group on statistical analysis
- Member of the Stratos initiative’s panels on simulation studies, visualisation and knowledge translation
- Honorary lecturer at LSHTM
Teaching Summary
I teach on the MSc course on Statistics for Clinical Trials, the course on Clinical Trials, and various short courses, including:
- Using simulation studies to evaluate statistical methods course with (any mix of) Michael Crowther, Ian White, Tra Pham, Alessandro Gasparini and Matteo Quartagno.
- Practical use of multiple imputation course at Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology, with Ian White and Angela Wood
