BIO

Thomas S. Miller is an Associate Professor in Electrochemistry and Materials Science in the department of Chemical Engineering at UCL. He is an expert in electrochemical technologies and along with colleagues he runs the Electrochemical Innovation Lab (EIL, www.ucl.ac.uk/electrochemical-innovation-lab). The EIL is a world-leading facility for the development and understanding of energy materials and devices, which hosts the UCL Centre for Correlative X-ray Microscopy, offering an array of X-ray computed tomography systems for non-destructive in situ and operando characterisation. Tom is also actively involved with work in the new UCL Advanced Propulsion Lab (APL, www.ucl.ac.uk/advanced-propulsion-lab), a cutting-edge centre for electrical systems engineering and the development of high-power and high-energy, zero-carbon propulsion systems.
