I am a lecturer (Teaching) in cancer studies at UCL Cancer Institute, teaching the BSc Cancer Biomedicine, iBSc Oncology and MSc Cancer programmes and I am also the deputy programme lead for the undergraduate programmes. I have a BSc degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology (University of North London) and a PhD in Tumour Virology (Queen Mary University of London). Furthermore, I have completed a MA in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from London Metropolitan University (2014), and am currently a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science (FIMBS).
I am interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms involved in cancers caused by tumour viruses. I also have a strong interest in pedagogical research and have a vision to incorporate blended learning, connected learning curriculum, innovative assessment strategies and learning technologies to enhance student-learning experiences.
