I obtained my PhD in Bioengineering at the University of East Anglia, where my research focused on the development of novel biomaterials for the additive manufacturing of ophthalmic implantable devices. I then undertook postdoctoral research at the University of Liverpool and Heriot-Watt University, where I worked on retina tissue engineering and immunobioengineering, respectively. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher working on the emPOWER project, a cross-institutional collaboration to develop robotic artificial muscles to restore muscular capabilities in people affected by muscular injuries or degenerative disease.
