Biography

Dr. Vino Vivekanandam is a Neurologist and Clinical Research Fellow completing her PhD in skeletal muscle channelopathies at the Queen Square UCL Institute of Neurology. Having completed neurology and neurophysiology training in Australia, she moved to London to engage in further research. Currently, she is conducting a clinical trial comparing treatments in patients with myotonia congenita, a rare inherited skeletal muscle channelopathy. She has a keen interest in clinical trials in rare diseases.

 

Vino is also passionate about science communication. She has written for The Conversation, organised UCL Pint of Science events, and is postgraduate representative for the UCL faculty of Brain Sciences.

 

Research Summary
Passion for research in neuromuscular disorders, particularly channelopathies and clinical trails. Several first author publications including in high impact journals.
