Biography
I have accomplished my master’s degree of environmental technology at Imperial College London in 2014. My current focus is on researching in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) since I started my PhD at UCL ISR in 2016. I take pleasure from learning and working in the environmental sustainability of apple and cider production.
Research Summary
My PhD is aiming to investigate the environmental sustainability of the UK cider production in the context of Net Zero GHG emissions using LCA approach. My current research focuses on carbon emissions and carbon sequestration of apple production in the orchard in the context of Net Zero GHG emissions. I reviewed LCA and wider literature on apple production globally to identify ranges of emissions and potential carbon sequestration in apple orchards. I am combining the two findings to provide evidence on potential ways of transitioning apple production towards net zero GHG emission.
