Research Activities
I am research driven teacher educator. For example, I have been involved in different types of research, for example, I collaborated and participated in a longitudinal research project “Chemistry for All” in secondary schools and ‘Focus4TAPS’ project in primary schools, with the research principal Professor Michael Reiss and the research principal investigator Dr Tamjid Mujtaba. Institute of Education. UCL. The interventions were located in three UK cities including Reading University for schools in Slough, Nottingham Trent University for schools in Nottingham and Liverpool John Moors University for schools in Liverpool.
In addition, I have also collaborated with my colleague Paula Ambrossi at UCL, IOE, on a research project in primary schools in London. A case study examining children’s learning of English grammar to enhance foreign language grammar learning.
I have also experienced, a similar research project for the refugees at Liverpool Hope University, as I collaborated colleagues from the school of education, students’ teachers, and classroom teachers from the North-west of England. Given that, these refugees children suffered trauma, language and culture barriers. As such, I and other colleagues have developed an intervention for the trainee teachers, the children, family and parents. Similarly, I have designing and implementing a school-based Action Research Intervention, to incorporate Interculture understanding in French and Francophones counties in collaboration with the Project Co-ordinators Professor Tim Cane and Project director Dr Claire Woolhouse from at Edge Hill University in North-west of England.

I am a research-driven teacher educator with extensive experience in teaching in UK and have worked at different higher education institutions, such Edge Hill university, Liverpool Hope university, Hull university, Birmingham City university, Keele university London Metropolitan university and Leeds Trinity university, which I have gained broad experiences and skills in education in general and MFL in particular.
Higher education experiences
My current role is a lecturer in Education (ITE) at the Department of Learning and leadership. I also work as a Lecturer, MA in Education, Department of Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment at the IOE, UCL. Previous to this I have also worked at UCL, as a Senior Teaching Fellow in secondary MFL education. In addition, I was the course leader for SCITT/ PGCE secondary at Hull University, which I lead and train PGCE/ SCITT and the whole of the secondary cohort for Hull, Yorkshire and Sheffield. In addition, I have also worked as a Lecture in secondary MFL education at Birmingham City University, which I teach train and supervise secondary MFL students in the North-West of England. Previous to this, I have worked as a lecturer in education and MFL (ITE) at Leeds Trinity University and London Metropolitan. Similarly, I have worked as a lecture in MFL at Liverpool Hope University and Edge Hill University primary and secondary education. I have also work as a Lecturer, MA in Education at Keele university.
Schools’ teaching and leading experiences
I have twenty-two years of experiences leading, teaching, learning and assessing MFL in UK Secondary, primary as well as Sixth form and Adult Education. In addition, I have also led Early Years / foundation stage. I have taught core subjects in secondary and primary schools, such as Maths, English and Science in secondary and primary schools. I have also taught humanities subjects, such as, History, Geography and RE.
