European Values Education
£272,700, European Commission Description The overall aim of the EVE project is to make the data of the European Values Study (EVS) and maps from the Atlas of European Values accessible to teachers and pupils in secondary education. In this project the focus is on four themes of The Atlas of European Values: work, family, religion and society. To reach this aim teaching materials have being developed, evaluated and revised. In the project several participants are involved. These are participants with different academic backgrounds, different expertise and working in various fields: - researchers form the Sociology department (University of Tilburg, The Netherlands), - educators specialized in curriculum development (Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey) , - didactic teachers and researchers for geography and civics (University of Potsdam, Germany, Institute of Education, London UK, University of Banská Bystrica Slovakia, Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Tilburg, The Netherlands), - Students from teacher training courses - Teachers in secondary schools who tested and evaluated the developed assignments, tasks and strategies.
