PASCA (Pharmacogenomics Assessment of Serious Cutaneous Adverse drug reactions)
The OVERALL AIM of the PASCA is to identify genetic variant(s) that predict SCADRs, genes that contribute to SCADRs development, and the relationship between genetic variation in SCADR pathogenesis. We propose the following SPECIFIC AIMS: AIM 1. To perform genome-wide meta-analysis of SJS/TEN with the “International Consortium on Drug Hypersensitivities” consortium to identify potential non-ethnic-specific variants associated with SJS/TEN. AIM 2. To identify causal variants in the HLA-region using re-sequencing. AIM 3. To contribute data to “International Consortium on Drug Hypersensitivities” and “Canadian Pharmacogenomics Network for Drug Safety” to promote future genetic evaluation of SJS/TEN internationally.
