'Best Practice in Grouping Students' project
'Best Practice in Grouping Students' is an ongoing research project funded by the Education Endowment Foundation and led by Professor Becky Francis. It is conducted by researchers at UCL, King's College London, University of Nottingham and Queen’s University Belfast, and evaluated by the NfER. It investigates which methods of grouping secondary school students are most effective in improving their educational engagement and attainment with particular attention to improving the performance of students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The project involves work with 140 secondary schools across England.
