Treatment of ventricular arrhythmias
The optimal tretament of ventricular arrhythmias (VA) remains challenging due to limitations in our understanding of the dynamic conducting-reposlarisation changes that precede their onset aswell as limitations in clinical mapping techniques. We are currently exploring non-invasive imaging stratgies with high density surface ECG mapping and MRI to identify pro-arrhythmic sites and target therapy. We are also investigating minimally invasive strategies to treat ventricular fibrillation with subcutaneous defibrillator systems (Subcutenoeous ICD) aswell as new methods to prevent VA onset.
