ARROW (INFOChain) INFOrmation needs along the journey Chain: Users' perspective about bus system.
The main objective of this project is to develop a methodology to assess information needs from users’ point of view during the planning and moving phase of a bus journey. Elements from different research lines, among them, psychology, geography, ergonomic, computing and transport were integrated on the analysis of
users demands.
The experimental phase is on the second pilot stage, intensively, analysing users demands and reactions on real and virtual journeys by bus in London. The first part of the experiment focus on the knowledge of the individual in study, applying inputs from psychology, ergonomic and geography to picture individual’s preferences, abilities, tendencies, habits, affects about transport system in general. The second part of the experiment is based on Single Case Format (ABA), analysing demands and benefits of information
in real situation and in virtual (training) situations along the journey chain.
The concept of accessible information along the journey chain is constantlyreinforced and persecuted. The target group of the project is people withhearing impairment and elderly people.
