Leonard Cheshire Disability communication project evaluation
The Leonard Cheshire Communication Project represents a significant investment and one that aims to provide long term communication benefits for service users and staff throughout the organisation. Anticipated outcomes include staff skill development and an overall reduction in the negative consequences of communication disabilities upon service users' lives. As part of this process, we, researchers from the Research Department of Language and Communication, University College London, have been commissioned to provide an independent and informed evaluation of the project. The evaluation explores staff attitudes/development and the views and experiences of service users. The former are to be investigated through pre- and post-training questionnaires, the latter through semi-structured interviews. Additional data may be generated through in-depth case studies of service users and staff.
