Global Workforce Development Goals
The Global Pharmaceutical Workforce Development Goals (PWDGs) were developed as a means to activate and give purpose to international workforce development in order to meet the needs and challenges of pharmaceutical health care delivery worldwide. They were adopted by the global representatives of the profession in 2016 in Nanjing, China. These global Goals describe workforce development through education and will be applicable to the primary mission of professional leadership organisations. The 13 WDGs are aimed at supporting and aligning with major international policies (from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the WHO Human Resources for Health Strategy 2030) and will be a significant directive force for actions, funding and near- and long-term deliverables. The WDG project will be managed by the UCL Collaborating Centre.
