Global Pharmacy Workforce Observatory
The Global Pharmacy Workforce Observatory is a strategically important element of global and national workforce development and is a joint project managed by the UCL-FIP Collaborating Centre and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS). The Observatory exists to advance workforce intelligence as a mechanism for workforce development at national and global levels and to contribute towards capacity building for our profession. The GPWO aims to provide wider workforce intelligence that maps capacity with pharmaceutical services development. The principal activities to which the GPWO is committed and which underpin the aims of the Observatory are: 1. Collating valid and comprehensive country level data on capacity variables. Our current dataset comprises of n=109 countries; there are approx. n=250 countries who are members of WHO. 2. Developing an interactive website to allow registered users to access current workforce data for comparative online analysis.
