Ecological Consequences of Flooding
A cross-disciplinary project involving the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, UCL, HR Wallingford, University of Nottingham and University of Hull. The project developed and tested research led methods for assessing the environmental (including vegetation, birds, fish, invertebrates) consequences of riverine and coastal flooding. These included the development of original GIS-based tools to integrate and maximise the utility of existing data sets held by the Environment Agency (England and Wales).
