Response of Disasters through Resilience: Addressing Extreme Climatic Disasters to Annihilate the Insecurity of Food, Nutrition and Livelihood in Bangladesh
This project aims to understand the impacts of climatic disasters on the vulnerable communities in terms of food security, migration, health and livelihood by considering gender dimensions in Bangladesh. Objectives: Vulnerability analysis of populations in Bangladesh. [1] Vulnerability to environmental hazards: focus of four climatic hazards in four different regions (e.g. river flooding, cyclones, hilly flash-flooding, and drought). [2] Vulnerability regarding livelihoods, food/nutrition, water, health, and migration. [3] Focus on gender-differentiated vulnerability and gender-responsive approaches.
