Design for Ageing: East meets West
Ageing of the population constitutes one of the greatest challenges humanity faces. The program aims to explore the spatial policies for people across their lifespan in care through ways that these are dealt with in two key geographical contexts, the UK and Japan. Although Ageing constitutes one of the hottest topics in the political, economic and academic agenda, the spatial aspects remain to a large extent unexplored, even in healthcare facilities where people are at their most vulnerable state. The project is funded by the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation, Butterfield Awards.
