Migration Journeys: Co-constructing knowledge about gender, migration and settlement
Funded by Beacon Bursary This engagement project brings together UCL-based staff and students who undertake research about migration and/or gender with women who have had direct experience of forced migration, with the aims of: 1. Co-constructing knowledge about gender, migration and settlement, at the interface of UCL’s rigorous, evidence-based academic research and embodied, practical, and affective lived experiences of migration. 2. Enhancing UCL staff and students’ skills in public engagement and migrant women’s confidence and capacities to affect research. 3. Increasing awareness about the interface of gender, migration and settlement within the wider UCL community and general public. We are Movers: We are Towers of Strength was a co-produced exhibit displayed publicly, including at the Migration Museum and UCL.
