Following promising evaluation of a pilot study into the use of SMART Spaces in revision (O'Hare, Stark, McGuinness, Biggart & Thurston, 2017), this pilot will look at whether these approaches can be deployed throughout a GCSE programme to enhance the teaching of science. The premise is that teaching factual knowledge more efficiently will allow a greater focus upon application and understanding the processes of science. We are evaluating the pilot in then schools, working with developers from Hallam Teaching School Alliance and Queen's University Belfast.
