Equity Pathways: Youth Access & Equity Research & Practice in Informal Science Learning Agenda
This UK-US researcher/practitioner network project developed a Youth Access and Equity Framework for informal science education, focusing on ages 11-14, primarily from non-dominant backgrounds. Working with practitioners from designed informal settings (science museums, science centres, zoos and aquaria), community settings (youth and community clubs, school science clubs) and media settings (broadcast and online media, gaming, social media) we worked within and across settings to identify challenges and best practices when it comes to social justice and equity for minoritised youth.
