Role of cranial biomechanics and feeding in clade diversification and early dinosaur evolution
Together with collaborators at the Natural History Museum, South Africa, Argentina and the USA, this NERC-funded project will investigate the evolution of feeding and its role in the radiation and success of the earliest dinosaurs. We will combine high-resolution uCT-scanning, biomechanical modelling, and data gathered from living relatives to identify feeding mechanisms and diet in early dinosaurs. Evolutionary modelling will be used to understand these data in a large-scale context.
