Professor P Coveney has been awarded a grant for the EU FP7 MAPPER project. MAPPER will develop computational strategies, software and services for distributed multiscale simulations across disciplines, exploiting existing and evolving European e-Infrastructure. The project is driven by seven challenging applications from five representative scientific domains: fusion, clinical decision making, systems biology, nano science, and engineering. The grant is for €2.5M and will last for 3 years. The coordinator is Dr Alfons Hoekstra at Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA).
