GBStressFree: Green-Blue Spaces for Stress-Free Travel
There are two study aims. First, to explore the impact of green-blue spaces on people’s well-being, by running a pilot experiment. Second, to produce a ‘stress-reducing’ route planner. In the pilot experiment we will measure people’s stress levels during commuting and investigate whether and how green-blue spaces can make commuting less stressful. Its design will include different types of travel routes, as well as different ways of measuring green-blue spaces (e.g. quantity and quality) and stress (e.g. physiological measures and self-report data). The route planner will be outlined and tested based on the analysis of the data produced from the experiment. This is a UCL Grand Challenges grant.
