Deep Place
The Deep Place research is an investigation into historical differences between local economies across the UK, with a focus on County Durham. The purpose is to understand places ‘deeply’, through the perspective of local communities and those who have responsibilities for planning and managing them. The research includes interviews and focus groups conducted by UCL, with Durham Miners’ Association help to coordinate the fieldwork locally.
