role of brain directed antibodies in pychosis
We have been studying the role of NMDAR, LGI1, GABA(A)R and other likely pathogenic brain directed antibodies in neuropsychiatric disease. The MRC funded SINAPPS2 trial aims to determine if NMDAR and related antibodies in acute psychosis are pathogenic, through a randomised double blind treatment trial (IVIG and rituximab versus placebo) in individuals with NMDAR and related antibodies in whom there is no clinical evidence of definite encephalitis.
